What is PrintForge and what services do you offer?

PrintForge is an advanced additive manufacturing service provider specializing in industrial 3D printing, rapid prototyping, custom product design, engineering models, and metal printing. We serve aerospace, medical, automotive, consumer electronics, robotics, and architecture industries with a fleet of 20+ industrial-grade printers across six technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF, DMLS, DLP).

Where is PrintForge located?

Our headquarters and primary manufacturing facility is located at 123 Innovation Drive, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA. We ship globally to over 50 countries with reliable express carriers.

What industries do you serve?

We serve a broad range of industries including aerospace, medical and dental, automotive and motorsport, robotics, consumer electronics, architecture, tooling, education, and research. Our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications enable us to meet stringent quality requirements across these sectors.

How do I place an order?

You can place an order by submitting your 3D file through our website's quote form, emailing us at orders@printforge.com, or contacting our sales team. We'll review your file, provide a detailed quote within 24 hours, and upon your approval and payment, we'll begin production immediately.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), ACH payments, and PayPal for smaller orders. For approved business accounts, we offer net-15 payment terms. All prices are in USD unless otherwise agreed.

Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of confirmation for a full refund, provided production has not yet begun. Once printing starts, cancellations are subject to a charge proportional to the work completed. Modifications are possible but may incur additional costs and extend lead times. Please contact us as soon as possible for any changes.

What 3D printing technologies do you use?

We operate six advanced technologies: FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), SLA (Stereolithography), SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), MJF (Multi Jet Fusion), DMLS/SLM (Direct Metal Laser Sintering), and DLP (Digital Light Processing). Each is suited for different applications based on material, resolution, strength, and speed requirements.

What materials are available?

We offer over 50 materials across all technologies: PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, Nylon (PA12, PA11), Carbon Fiber reinforced, Standard/Tough/Flexible/High-Temp Resins, and metals including Titanium Ti64, Aluminum AlSi10Mg, Stainless Steel 316L, Inconel 718, Cobalt Chrome, Maraging Steel, and more. Custom materials are available for enterprise projects.

What tolerances can you achieve?

Standard tolerances depend on the technology: FDM (±0.15mm), SLA/DLP (±0.05mm), SLS/MJF (±0.1mm), and DMLS (±0.1mm). Tighter tolerances are possible with post‑processing CNC machining. We'll discuss your specific requirements during quoting.

What is the maximum build size?

Maximum dimensions vary by technology. FDM can handle parts up to 500×500×500mm. SLS/MJF up to 380×284×380mm. Large parts can be printed in sections and bonded. For metal, our DMLS machine builds up to 250×250×325mm. Contact us for oversized projects.

What file formats do you accept?

We accept STL, STEP, IGES, OBJ, FBX, 3MF, and native CAD files from SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, CATIA, and Rhino. If your format is not listed, please contact us—we can likely convert it.

Do you offer design assistance?

Absolutely. Our engineering team provides complimentary DFM (Design for Manufacturing) review with every order. We can also help with CAD modeling, reverse engineering, and design optimization. These advanced design services are available as part of our Professional and Enterprise plans, or on a project basis.

How should I prepare my file for printing?

Ensure your model is watertight (no holes or non‑manifold edges), exported at the correct scale (millimeters preferred), and with sufficient wall thickness (minimum 1mm for most materials). Our automatic file check will flag any issues, and we can assist with corrections.

What are your turnaround times?

Standard lead times range from 1‑5 business days depending on technology and quantity. Professional plans include 24‑48 hour express service for eligible orders. Metal parts typically require 5‑10 days due to post‑processing. Exact timelines are provided with your quote.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to over 50 countries via FedEx, DHL, UPS, and specialized freight forwarders for large or heavy orders. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

How is packaging handled for delicate parts?

We use custom foam inserts, bubble wrap, and sturdy double‑wall boxes. For highly fragile or high‑value parts, we offer wooden crating and shock‑indicating labels. Every shipment is fully insured.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Local pickup is available from our Wilmington, DE facility by appointment. Please contact us to schedule a pickup time after your order is ready.
